HR: Human Remains Guide

HR: Human Remains patch notes

Quick answer

HR: Human Remains update 1.1 is the first post-launch patch, posted September 29, 2026 (the day after release). It is a bug-fix pass — the Silk's Lair achievement now triggers correctly, items can no longer be used during Silk's jumpscare, the elevator can no longer be exited mid-ride, and four smaller fixes ship with it. No new content came with 1.1.

HR: Human Remains launched on September 28, 2026, and picked up its first patch within a day. This page exists to keep the record straight: every official patch after release, transcribed from the developer's Steam announcements and translated into what it actually changes in play. Right now that is update 1.1, the day-after-launch fix pass.

Update 1.1 — September 29, 2026

Posted to the Steam community hub on September 29, 2026 (18:08 UTC — the small hours of September 30 in Beijing). Seven items, all fixes: no new areas, no balance changes, no new achievements.

Official fixWhat it means in play
The Silk's Lair achievement now triggers correctly when you finish while touching at most two websThe stealth-clear achievement could miss an otherwise clean run; it fires properly now.
Items can no longer be used during Silk's jumpscareThe scare can no longer be interrupted by opening your inventory mid-scare.
The elevator can no longer be exited once the button is pressedPressing the button commits the ride — stepping back out of the car mid-sequence is closed off.
The book describing the pipes no longer displays incorrectly on large monitorsA text-layout fix for players on big screens.
Asteroids in the arcade machines no longer get stuckThe arcade minigame no longer freezes on a stuck asteroid.
The parasitic fluid in the factory syringe changed colourA clarity change — the fluid was easy to misread in the scene.
The petri-dish throw sound now follows your sound settingsThe effect ignored the volume options before; it obeys them now.

Where these fixes land

  • Silk's Lair — the stealth stretch on the road to the main offices. If you cleared it clean before 1.1 and the achievement never popped, that was this bug; the full list and rates live on the achievements page.
  • The elevator — before 1.1 it was possible to exit the car after the button press, against the intended sequence. If you hit a stuck state around an elevator, updating is the fix.
  • The arcade machines — the station's playable arcades get their Asteroids unstuck. The break-room side of the game is covered on the break room & collectibles page.

What 1.1 does not change

No new content, no new achievements (the list stays at 13), and no pricing moves — the $9.89 introductory discount still runs to October 12, 2026, and the demo is still up. If a patch ever adds content rather than fixes, this page grows a section for it the day it ships.
